Buchu is generally used as an antiseptic for the genito urinary tract helping to relieve inflammation and ease infections in the bladder kidneys prostate. It can also have a tonic effect on these organs. The leaves are pleasantly crisp and highly aromatic. Buchu has also been used topically for skin infections.
